Square foot gardening

May 29, 2008 at 07:56

Mary, Mary, quite contrary... How does your garden grow?

Why?

By the square foot of course!

Dear hunny bunny built me two great planters and two wonderful compost bins over the Memorial holiday weekend. They are great, very economical, and earth friendly.

Got the idea of square foot gardening from Mel Bartholomew.

I hope this works. I was really getting excited after reading his book that I purchased from the thrift store for ten cents.

Here are a few photos for your entertainment.

And of course, Ruby has the new job of keeping squirrels out! She is taking this job very seriously.

Now I just have to figure out what I want to use in between the beds and as a buffer into the yard to make that area a little more aesthetically pleasing (bark, paving stones).

Any ideas?

New collars in the Catalog

May 28, 2008 at 03:39

Hi everyone.

I have finished a few more collars to add to the Catalog.

Thanks to those who have inquired.

These collars are large (15" - 24" neck size, with 1 inch clips) . Made from imported Japanese panda bear fabric.

Here is a stylish new collar for Ruby as well. She has been in need of one for sometime.

Ruby modeling.

Have a great day!

New things galore!

May 23, 2008 at 02:58

Well wait a minute Mr. Postman.

Is this correct? Can it be? There is a little package for Tailor. Who knew she was here? Oh well, everyone in blogland I suppose.

What is it you ask? What was in that package...

A beautiful new dress from our friend Babz. Thank you Babz! We love it.

Oh. I also made a new pillow cover for Benjamin.

So cute and simple.

Linen, Japanese elephants, and Amy Butler fabrics.

TTFN!

Sweet little pants

May 14, 2008 at 04:14

Well I finally sat down and figured out how to make a wide leg toddler pant. It took lots of tweaking, but they are great! They are also addictive to make.

I made about a dozen pair (many of which wound up in Tampa for my niece and nephew).

Forgot to take photos of those, but here are two that are still with me at the moment. They will wind up in the catalog before to long.

So stay tuned!

Thank you to all my family and friends for their support and comments along the way.

xoxo
