New fabrics from the Heather Ross collection Macaroni Love Story.

I have to admit. For the price of the fabric I was hoping Spoonflower would have found a better quality, better feeling quilting cotton.

Me and 3 other gals got together and order a handful of yards of the aqua colorway. The colors are mute and cute (as my 4 year old would say, "Hey that rhymes"). Reminds me a little of the Lightning Bug series, but the fabric is just a bit scratchy. I have gone through and petted many fabrics in my stash, but can not find anything to compare it to.

I do have a Spoonflower swatch packet that I ordered, and while it feels similar, the printed fabric seems a little stiffer. Maybe it is from running it through the machine for printing. So I hope it will get softer with washing. While I did enjoy the feel of the sateen a little bit more, I couldn't justify spending an extra $9 per yard on the fabric.

But hey... it's Heather Ross... and it is adorable.

Enough said.
